Other information about me
Professor of English, Emeritus, at Clayton State University, where I taught from 1976-2007. Clayton State is home to Spivey Hall, where my composition "Mark We the Music" had its premiere.
Church musician nearly lifelong, currently as organist and composer-in-residence at First Presbyterian Church in Peachtree City, GA, and a past member of the Worship/Music team for the Southeastern Synod of the ELCA (Evangelical Lutheran Church in America)

Two works selected as semifinalists in the 2020 Fyfe Competition sponsored by the Sewanee Church Music Conference. Compositions have been sung by numerous churches and by civic and professional choruses in the US and Canada. Winner or other honoree in a number of prominent hymn-text searches, including at Macalester Plymouth United Church in St. Paul MN, United Theological Seminary in Dayton OH, and the Perkins School of Theology at SMU in Dallas TX.
